As of 2022, the share of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Luxembourg that made a loan application was 17.2 percent, which was a notable decrease compared to the previous year. In the observed period, 2018 was the year with the highest share of SMEs that made loan applications, at over 32 percent.
